ok i have a word, with a glow around the edges, and i want bg to be transparent, somone told me that you cant save it as a gif transparent cause it f’s its up, and it does, so is there some way to save a glow as transparent bg…

I think you should save it as a PNG and import that into Flash, it works for me…
I do that all the time (I think). Flatten your image, use the magic wand to select all the white, inverse the selection, cut it, paste it in a new document (make sure the setting for the new doc is transparent), then Save As a .gif or Save For Web. That’s what I do for my buttons and such. Works like a charm!
