Well, if some of you remember my old thread, I ordered a new computer a while back and got it all set up yesterday. I haven’t really noticed THAT big of a difference in my application’s speed, and that possibly could be due to more hd space, or a less fragmented hd.
I was wondering, how much faster is a P4 HT 3.4 GHz Processor than a regular 1.8 GHz processor? I mean how much difference in startup speed will I experience with a program say…photoshop? I timed them both and it seems it takes about 13 seconds to start it up to the point where it’s usuable on my new computer, and 18 on my old.
Both computers have 1 GB of RAM, but the new one has a SATA HD instead of a standard IDE ATA.
