It is quite a different thing to talk about state funded colleges and state mandated public schools. I agree that state colleges can be better than private, but I know no public school that is better than a private one. Better in the sense of more graduated per enrollments and higher test scores.
I think we said our peace on the military thing, maybe someone should split this thread so we can continue on the state vs private schools (and by this I mean K-12).
