So if you download a visual style for windows, where do you put it so that you can use it?
You mean a desktop theme?
Like changing how the start bar looks. I used to have StyleXP which did it automatically but I uninstalled that.
Inside your C:\Windows\Resources\Themes folder. Make sure you patch your uxtheme.dll file first. You can find the patcher over at neowin: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707
Once you have restarted your computer and placed your styles in the Themes folder, you can access the new styles using your Display Properties’s Appearance area.
Do they have them for Windows 2k Pro? I can never find them
Kril - I only found an interview that featured that style’s name: Exidge Gen1 VS, but I couldn’t find the actual file on any of the large skin/mod sites.
grinch - I have no idea about whether a patcher works/exists for Win2k Pro.

I already knew what the name was. I was a frequent visitor to their site a year or so back.
Anyhow, Aeon, the site owner emailed me back with a link to where he has it posted on his site. Its in a section you normally couldn’t find any links to, etc, so that explains why I couldn’t find it.
