my question or rather a problem when applying the code to the site
is when its placed in dreamweaver.
the problem is when the swf file is not in the same folder with the html file
the swf just won’t work :*(, but if they are both in the same folder the xml would load perfectly. like the html is in the root folder and the swf file is in the (fla/) folder (e.g. fla/xmlmenu.swf). the xml just seems wont load, although the xml file and the swf are in the same folder.
BUT if those 3 files are in the same folder, everything would just work fine :h:. i just want the html file to be one level above those folder, to keep files in order in my site.
try it. download the sample source on the tutorial and try putting it on dreamweaver and separate the html file from the swf and xml and just target it. it just wont work. i already tried looking at the code for path problems, but no luck. separating the xml and swf on different folders would still work by changing its path, but separating the swf and html just wont.
hope you guys can clear me up and correct me if im wrong :ponder:. thanks in advance.
