Quicktime VR - "Chairs"

I choose to post this here in D&D because I’m still experimenting with it, not fit for Showcase yet. :slight_smile:

I tried out a script + 3rd party app for max6 that makes panoramas, and my first try was with my beloved chairs :love:

AWESOME!! that’s really nice, but you do know you don’t need a script, 3dsm can do this by itself

I know, but I’ve never rendered a pano with max, so I just tried the script :slight_smile:

It just renders out 6 pictures in cubic map, and then you import it into a different app that smacks it all together.

I found it on a page over on evermotion… hold on…

it goes further onto cgtalk, look 6 posts down, theres a tut on it :wink:

I see, but I don’t understand the reason to use that one instead of the one in 3dsm?

I don’t know, it just seemed easier to use that one, but that’s just my oppionion, anyways, great work!

Whoa nice job.

I see how this is done. You need 6 pictures and max will fold them into a cube and then some script is used to pan and rotate :crazy:.

Show us more :drool:.

I have another idea, how about we made a huge 3d world with all our 3d creations and it’s a game where you can walk around and stuff and talk?!?!?!

edit: there was some site like this a long time ago, I forget what it was called but my friend was addicted 'til they started charging for it
