I think you might have hit the New Thread button instead of the Post Reply button.

lol look at any thread. Look at the reply button. Look next to it - theres a new thread button. Its easy to click on new thread when going for the reply button and not even know it. The best thing to do is NOT use subject titles for any of your replies, then you’ll get a message when you try to post a new thread saying you need a subject. If you think youre posting a reply you’ll then know you accidentally hit the new thread button, that doesnt prevent it from happening though. I dont see any huge reason why there needs to be a new thread button inside the threads themselves anyway. If Ive ever made a new thread it was from the link in the forum itself.
