Alright, I’m all for CGI. Whether it be cut scenes in video games, or the big bad dragons in bad sci-fi channel movies, but really folks. The way it looks, it appears this movie is the biggest blue screen flick since Episode 2. Wait, Episode 2 did have some actual sets. Let me rephrase that. The biggest blue screen flick of ALL TIME!!!
Full CGI movies (Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., FF:TSW, etc.) are perfectly fine. But when you mix (almost no) live-action with CGI, you get hit with an ugly battering ram.
And then, to add insult to injury, it appears as though they simply said ‘screw lighting, who needs it?’ and used crappy filters to make it ‘look’ like there is actually some form of lighting.
All in all, I’m pretty upset if this is the ‘way of the future’ of Movies.
Any thoughts?
