Really? I mean… it used to be such a collection of truly inspirational interactive works.
Now? Whoever jams in most After Effect videos and streaming content wins. The awards seem to go out on a strictly ‘these guys have won in the past, so lets give them more awards since they pay us’ basis.

I’m not saying these sites are bad in any way, but theFWA does function a lot different now than it used to… We used to get sites that didn’t necessarily have a budget of 25.000$ but featured innovation and unique ideas. Now? More = better.
Completely agree. The FWA sucks. Maybe we should start posting more stuff in Kool Sites. Maybe even start tagging them in the title like “[Flash] Somesite.com”, “[CSS] Site2.net”, etc.
I usually look at CSS sites, but I remember when I was coding with Flash, I used FWA a lot.

Yeah, the quality seems to have gone down a bit, which is a pity. :-/
That Hulk site gives me like 4FPS on my current computer, which is a few years old, but still. It’s always interesting to see how things perform on the many computers I end up using.
I actually like the hulk site, it runs super quick here, no load time issues, lots of hulk action - does that make me a bad person?
I would argue that the FWA far from sucks, there is a lot of really nice flash work that still appears there, granted things are a little different these days. And they didn’t award themselves an FWA, they just use their site to showcase another site of theirs.
