Ray of light tutorial

I readed the ray of light tutorial, but i couldn’t get past the coloring bit :http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash5/rayoflight4.htm
step 8.

I wondered if some1 had a tutorial on this subject for mx2004 or something.
or if u can help even better.
I can’t fill any of the spaces(you know within the green lines)

I’m having the same problem in MX2004. Did anyone find a solution. It seems as though the app doesn’t see the letter and lines as being connected.
