Okay so first off I’d like to say I’m new here and whatnot.
The other day I downloaded a font from dafont.com to use in a flash movie (I always download them from that website so I know it’s safe.) However, yesterday, when I put the font into my movie, and when I tested it, the movie lagged when it reached the point containing the font. It only lags the first time I test it, eg. if I let it loop, it wouldn’t lag the second time. I have to reopen flash for it to lag again. I simply replaced the font and it stopped thanks god.
Today though, I downloaded a different one, and it did the same thing. 
The .fla file is huge, like 5mbs or so, and it doesn’t do this with any of the other fonts. The one I did was a truetype file. I tried changing the text to dynamic, which solved the problem, but the quality is awful. If I export the movie, it will also do this. 
But if I upload it to a site such as spamtheweb.com or swfcabin, it will not do it. 
and way I can solve this problem? I usually run Flash with Firefox open, but I tried closing like everything else and it still occurs.
