Retro/washed PS tutorials?

Hey people, im after a PS tutorial to create a kinda washed out grunge/retro watercolour background, and how to overlay it over vector shapes, etc. I know this is kinda vague, but dunno exactly how to explain! Ill try and find some examples. cheers
