No, I mean I like the controller which he mocked…

I just see the controller as a gimmick a la powerglove or the superscope, they really have to make the games use it otherwise its just another special controller.

I guess well have to wait and see how devepoers use this controller and how itll interact with games.

The difference is, the system ships with the controller. Its understood that users of the system already have the new input device, something that could not be assumed with the power glove, for example.

So, really, in developing for the system, you’re developing for the controller. You’re just not developing a game that will work with another input device.

I understand that but lets be honest how the heck do you think your going to play a super smash bros. with that controller if you flip it sideways it only has the a and b buttons or how about a driving game since the controllers signal device is on the front of it?

I guess ill have to wait and see what nintendo comes up with and how to interact with the games.

They are also supposed to have a traditional type controller shell which the freestyle controller will plug into. I hope the system ships with this, because some games are just not built for that freestyle thing.

Or just use a game cube controller. They plug right into it after all That’s basically what the “controller shell” thing is anyways. Or at least that’s what the picture looked like.
