Ok - I am stumped and I would give almost anything to know how this was done.
Here we have a blurred fuzzy image showing transparent. I have no idea how this was made - any ideas?

It’s not a Jpeg, Jpegs don’t support transparency.
Gifs don’t support partial transparency.
So that leaves… PNGs.
PNGs have an alpha channel that allows them to support partial transparency like this when imported into Flash. So create the effect in your graphics program and export as .png (making sure to preserve the transparency, usually found in the settings while saving)
Lovely - very cool - thanks very much - the world of png’s is new to me - but very wonderful. Now I can make all the hazy, moody flash movies I want.
You sure can.
Some notes about PNG + Flash though…
It ups the file size (PNG file compression isn’t the best)
Alpha channels in PNG images are more processor intensive than other images so be careful when using them in tweens, it may or may not get laggy.
YEs, I noticed that the file size was pretty big - but hey, I am still in love!
I will be judicious in my use
