Does anyone have any thoughts on pricing one’s services regarding programming? For websites I usually charge on a per project basis depending upon complexity.
Here’s what I’m looking to put together:
A CMS written using ruby on rails. This is a CMS for a newspaper allowing the users to create news sections (sports, entertainment, etc) and then create/update/remove articles in each section. These articles also feature photos. In addition the program handles each new issue as the main page and archives past issues. Other features include graphed visitor statistics, dynamic advertising (using our own ads provided by local businesses to generate a bit of revenue).
How much would you guys price something like this?
