Long story short, I have a domain that I got from a hosting comany when I bought my hosting last yr (I didn’t know much about this at the time and didn’t know I should buy it seperately to make sure I maintain control of the domain)
Now the domain is ready to expire and I want to transfer so I can renew it. I contacted the registrar and told them my story. They said to prove the name in the whois is mine I should scan my Drivers License and email it to them. How safe is that??? Any other suggestions on how I can prove my identity
