Scarface 1983 & 1932

I lost my Scarface DVD and looking to buy another one. I looked it up on Amazon and found two versions. Can someone tell me the difference? Of course I’d like to own the deluxe set, but I don’t see it in stores.

Pwease?

I only saw the 1983 version, but I’m willing to bet that the 1983 one is in color while the 1932 one probably isn’t  (try http://www.imdb.com)

I’m lost on your link there K-man. Anyone seen the 1932?

oops - fixed the link! imdb.com :stuck_out_tongue:

1932: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0023427/
1983: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086250/

I donno fi tist he same film. The 1983 version has Al Patino in it for sure. Thats the one that everyone loves.

edit: The '32 involves a kid climbing to the top of the mob, the '83 is top of the Miami drug gang

The '32 is a classic movie, and should be watched as such. It’s nothing like the Brian de Palma version, but it’s worth a look if you like that kind of movies. Otherwise you’ll get bored after 10 minutes.

I imagine a huge difference is the violence alone. I doubt they showed chainsaws taken to people in the 1932 version.

83 man

Go with the collectors edition that came out last year. If your a fan of the flick there are some goodies that are well worth it.

Is there a poster included in the collector’s edition Fessy?

I took a whole minute to figure that one out. :P[/ot]
