In Generator, I could just script Gen2 to publish in .jpg, and it would capture the current state of the Flash movie, and save it to a file for me. But that was server-side…

What I need to do, is be able to grab an image of the client’s view of the Flash movie… kinda like print, but print screen…

I am doing a dynamic application that will eventually go to the web, which requires being able to email your snapshot (created dynamically) to a friend…

Has anyone heard of doing this? If not with Flash, how 'bout ASP, XML, PHP, anything?

Thanks, so far this is the first thing I have found that MX doesn’t have as compared to Generator…

Sorry , I havent come across this,
But could u do it similar to the way u record a mouse movement… when u clik record… may be u could do it, dynamically… I am not sure if this is possible i am not good at AS… but i was jkuz suggesting… Thanx
Rev… I am not sure, but I think its event driven … like mouse press… so on… but, If i am not wrong, In 3ds Max u have an option where u can do this snapshot… so if it can be done there, it should be here too… But … really sorry … I am helpless… I really suck … when it comes to AS.

Thers a menu, juz on the bottom left , thers a weird thing, juz mouse over it u ll find it, well the site really cool … u check it out this guys got nice tuts… hope it does help …

oops…its not weird thing but actually … written FOTIOS… lol… juz mouse over it… …clik on the “O” of fotios its on the bottom left …
where it says, “weird computing” juz above that u get menu , check for flash… well check everything out
