I am working on a website that showcases other artist’s work. How does one program the images to display beautifully without allowing
the end-user to steel the image?
In the past, I’ve used a script that just disables the right click function. I’d like something a bit more sofisticated where it is an
ecommerce site. Remember, I am not a sofisticated programmer…so be specific as to what to do with script if you send any.

there is no good way to do it
If there was a script, which I’ve never heard of, would seem pointless since you could just screen shot the site. Could you water mark them? Maybe use flash, but they still could screen shot it, but not allow them to save them.
Use a watermark. If they want the un-watermarked version, they gots to pay/register/mail you whatever : )
It’s extremely far from perfect, but I don’t think anything is.
A watermark is how the stock photo sites do it.
