Security of files and flash

I’m glad people are sharing code and helping each other out, this is what an open source community is all about. I have learned so much reading the tutorials on this site. But when I’m in the world working for clients they want to know that their files, images, or mp3’s are safe.

What can I do to protect images or files/swf’s I don’t want to share? Example: If you download an swf and open the swf in flash the output function list things you might not want the public to see such as paths to xml files or image paths.

If you password protect the folders or files flash won’t load them. So what is the best approach? I know it may depend on the Operating System so I guess I use UNIX or LINUX most.

P.S. Not many books talk about this issue, or maybe I have over looked the ones that do. Any help would be great.:tie:
