Should AI interrupt us before we commit too early?

I keep running into this weird tension with AI tools: they’re great at helping me move fast, but sometimes the speed makes me stop questioning whether I’m solving the right thing.

That feels different from just “AI making mistakes” — it’s more like the tool smooths over the moment where a human would normally pause and rethink the framing. Have you seen that happen in real workflows, or am I just being paranoid?

That “smooths over the pause” thing is real — I’ve seen it in migration projects where the AI happily drafts 20 screens of microcopy and everyone stops asking what the user is actually trying to do.
