I’m still trying to conform to forum and society ethics and acceptable behaviors. It’s difficult, as I’d rather live with everyone saying as it is and stop “dancing around” eachother, but I’m stuck with having to conform… I have been wondering two things.
I tend to see a lot of "I have two questions, … ". Similarly, there are often follow up questions based on answers a person has received in previous posts.
Generally, I tend to be more likely to check a thread with zero replies, as usually the problem has already been answered, however, if there is a follow up question, I then miss it.
When do you separate your questions (or follow up questions) into separate posts, and when do you keep them in one?
Also, a second question, when should you rebump threads (if ever)?
Is it alright to rebump your old threads with still no answer? Should you create a new topic instead? Should you rebump other threads with the same problem, or create a new one? If you have found the answer to a really old thread with the same problem, should you rebump the thread (possibly even your own) and post the solution to help Googlers?
