I need some simple help. Or at least I think it should be simple.
I’m doing this navigation… it’s vertical, with 6 icons in the main menu. When the 3rd icon is clicked, the menu expands: 4 smaller icons slide down underneath it (pushing the other 3 main icons down too). There’s an invisible button at the bottom, if the user hasn’t clicked one of the icons by the time he gets to the invisible button, it triggers the menu collapsing.
However, instead of it just collapsing and quickly going back to the main menu (collapsed menu is on frame 1, expanded menu on frame 2), it’s supposed to slide back up. I did what I thought would make it do that - I created a movie clip of the reverse animation (sliding up instead of down) and told the invisible button to play that, but it’s not working.
And my brain is completely fried. I’m a designer, and ActionScript does not come easily to me, so just to get this to work so far has been pretty impressive (by my standards).
I have a feeling it would be something totally simple and easy for someone to look at and tell me what I did wrong, or what I need to do instead. Please help me
