… so I walk into the company cafe this evening (it’s far from a cafe, just some vending machines in a room) and I see that they have finaly finished the upgrade that they’ve been working on.
They finaly gave us a new coffee machine that
A) takes the new curancy (yeah those notes we’ve been using for over 5 years now.)
B) has a cup size larger than a shot glass
and C) makes a fairly decent cup of coffee.
That’s my simple pleasure for today.
I find that life becomes more bearable if we stop and take a moment to appreciate something in our day. It can be anything from beating that high score on Mortal Combat XVIIXLD, to having a good cup of coffee for the money.
any other simple minds have a simple pleasure to share?
lol… like I said, what ever makes you feel better.
I’d say that’s a good start.
We must be the only two simple minds here.
I’ve got another one… I’m simply pleased to be reading “Underworld” by Graham Hancick. If you haven’t checked it out in the book store Phil, go to Borders, get yourself a capuchino and spend a half hour looking through it. I think you’d really like the primise, and scientific data that he brings to the global flood theory.
I’ve just completed an absolute b@stard of an addition to our company website, that went live yesterday. Came in to work this morning to find the guys who commissioned it had bought me some chocolates.
Yesterday evening, I was so tired I crashed on my bed. It took me 5 seconds to fall asleep, but I had the time to feel the softness of the pillow, and the wonderful smell of my girl. That was a delicious moment. Or was I dreaming already?
Anyways… Yeah… I woke up this morning… Looked at the alarm clock… And noticed I could squeeze in an extra 30 minutes before going into work today… smiles… Too bad it’s V-Day… That just ruins my mood…
I just found out I’m moving into a bigger house and I’m getting a new car soon, have a jeep now, but it is getting way too expensive on maintenance and gas cause it’s sponsored so I always have to go to the shows and videos (usually end up braking a few brackets and blowing out the airlockers):
I also have a girl now, it’s great, I used to hate dedicating myself to a relationship, but I guess I just met one of those girls that you just want to have forever.
I feel for you novatake.
on the subject of ball sacks (you’d be amazed how often I use that phrase) Last night I watched a guy stapling his ball sack to his leg. I was pleased it wasn’t me.
And it’s one of my best friends 18th birthday tomorrow. this week I went round with a video camera getting our friends to leave secret messages and she’ll see them tomorrow. we did puppet shows and stuff on it, that was fun.
Well, I upgraded to the latest version of VBulletin a few seconds ago without having any problems or interruptions, and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Phil, it could be you are growing up! Glad things are working ou well for you again dan. Pom…aww

We are indeed, few and far between. :beam:
Speaking of which, good tip for any of you with girlfriends on Valentines Day. Don’t get her anything, just say you don’t bother because every day with her is special and you shouldn’t have to wait for a certain day to tell her you love her.
My boyfriend said something along these lines this morning, and he left for work with a big smile on his face.
Because I cooked him a lovely fried breakfast. Why, what were you thinking?
today a co-worker colleague that sits next to me, and love to complain about everything - g/f, boss, weight, money, work, sun, moon, rain, etc…- and thinks that i give a damm, coz he´s always complaining to me and no one else boring me to death  didn´t show up =)
I find that work becomes more bearable if the whining guy gets fired

You know what? That’s exactly what she told me too :beam: And that’s good news too, I’m broke. And so is she, now that I think of it :)

**also, my friends birthday tomorrow is gonna be a formal dress occassion. wearing a kilt the Proper way. always a pleasure. **
Now if you mean not wearing any underwear as the “proper way” then HELL YAH! that’s a good day And I totally agree with not wearing any clothes when people arent home, that’s fun as hell - unless it’s cold in the house
And Kit - that whole thing about saying the right stuff - that works like a charm My girl just eats it up… I guess it’s easy to say when you have someone you really love
As for my simple thing… waking up and knowing I get to talk to my beautiful girlfriend at least once today…
Half the time I see people using that phrase due to the sher fact that they “forgot” to actually get something… Therefore… When I actually “in a true meaning” tried to use that… (had money but wanted to do something nifty)… I got a disgruntled look and a “*****ing session”…
