Hi all, some of you may remember me from way back when, most probably wont 
Have been away from web design for years now (last flash i used was Flash MX!!)
So obviously while it wont take me as long, im looking to basically relearn everything from the ground up (including html)
However while im learning all the boring technical code stuff i want to start fiddling around with design programs again just to reignite my creativity really.
I used to use Photoshop almost exclusively although i also had a pretty decent grasp of fireworks and used that for simple stuff like buttons and the ‘bones’ of the site.
Basically what with adobe now owning all said programs are their uses still as they were, i dont want to waste time (for instance) reaquanting myself with Photoshop if Fireworks now does alot more than it did before.
So is it still worth using both products or are their uses now different. I always found both to be of use before, in short is that still the case.
PS: also i have never even owned illustrator, is that worth looking into at all? I should add i am 80% web designer and id say 20% digital artist but im no freehand drawer really, i like to create abstract stuff (hence photoshop being my choice in the past)
