the current website which i made in 30 mins is currently for a photographer and it is at www.photogenique.co.uk and now that i got some more time. i am trying to change the look to this one. this looks like a web companies portfolio. it’s a decent layout but is in now way appropriate for a photography site.
you mentioned this was a template, did you purchase it? are you a desinger?

i purchased it a bit long ago. i dont quite remember where from. then i change quite a bit the layout of it and the animations. am a designer too but due to lack of time i cant build a proper one. the guy just want something simple with his galleries on. thats all. so i thought that would be a good one.
i have to well agree that its not a website design/layout for a photography website. Straight away from the animations and the menu that its more of a company. photography websites have the basic concept as well as taking images is that simplcity is an importance while capturing good images. This imputs the website design to have nice colors but simple design. I like this concept and im using it for my site. An example is www.lensflare.co.nz which was created by grostek and another one which was a french one made by a 17yr old but copied the whole design and colors.
p.s. never use anything from 2ad, its very much a pain when people keep talking about them.

I’d check out your rights with regards to the people who sold you the template with the same track as 2A’s site, it seems to me as theres been a clear breach of contract = get your money back they can’t do that!
