If not, check it out…pretty cool…appears to make the building of Barneys.com type sites seem pretty easy.
But, I havent been able to add text to each of the sliding images (or anything else for that matter, like buttons). I get an error that says I need to fix “total images parameter”. Sure its just something simple…
I would like your opinion…is using this component easier than accomplishing the same thing with the sliding tuturials found here?
Thanks
Kelly
ps. anyone figure out how to add stuff besides images to this sliding component I’d much appreciate it. Basically, I am trying to building something like this: http://www.bsfllp.com/flash.htm
It will explain how to do this, pay particular attention to the second paragraph in step 3,…you have to make all the movie clips one Movie clip…then doubleclick inside each movie clip to add text… you’ll see once you go to the address above.
hi, im having another problem with this component. i have used it on two areas of my site. one for artwork and another for design. my problem is this: if a user clicks on artwork, views the content and then clicks on design, the component fails to move to the correct positions. flash is unloading the artwork swf and loading the design swf in its place. ive also tried loading to different levels instead of the same one with no luck. the only way to fix the problem, that i can see, is to refresh the page. which is pretty lame if you ask me. anyone know how to fix this problem? you can see the errors for yourself at http://www.humboldt.edu/~mds40
I am not entirely sure what the problem is…but, to be honest, that navigation on the site was so hard to use I really couldnt mess with it…I reply because i did end up using the component successfully after much fiddling although I would characterize myself as an intermediate or less…all aspects of the component worked for me …I had 7 transitions.
thanks. i think i will just go back and use the tutorial to scirpt it myself. i tried searching the forum for anything on sliding navigation with no luck
