i guess the term “footer” could mean anything, even animated gifs, i guess. let them handle it since it was their idea. we’ll just moderate :).
Well Flash footers I don’t have a problem with, since this is primarily a Flash site, but animated gifs I’m not convinced by. We’ll see what other mods think… 
i don’t think it deserves its own section. maybe a thread dedicated to it… but not even a sticky thread…
yeah…and lava may post ten different new threads on it too…i thought the same thing jubba said. well let’s see…

But unfortunately the .png images with partial transparency in it makes this puppy 180K, so its too big for the forum, and too big for the footer contest 
can’t you make them gifs?
GIFs don’t support partial transparency, so it gets pixelated, and the partially transparent areas get a solid background, which looks very bad IMO :-\
I think I will try soon to figure out a new way of getting this file size down. I have some ideas kicking in my head
draw them in flash.
Yeah, I thought about that… but then I tried it.
It turns out I forgot I can’t draw in Flash to save my life…LOL.
I even tried tracing, still a no-go. Worth another try though
vectorize the picture in flash. you’ll have to break up the image first.
Well that actually makes the file size bigger believe it or not… :-\ Also more processor intensive as well. Sometimes crashes my computer.
