I recently got a new sound card that I’m using my headphones with. I want certain programs to direct their audio to this soundcard, and others to the default onboard soundcard. Certain media players support this selection, other programs don’t (e.g. Firefox).
Is there a piece of software that will take over the default audio mixer in WinXP and then route sounds from different programs to their destinated sound card (which I can choose)? The closest program to this is the default one on Windows Vista, which you can control volumes for each program.
