One of the features in the new vBulletin is the ability to log-in using our facebook account instead of registering for a new account on this site.
Since almost everybody uses Facebook these days AND it is common for many sites to use Facebook or Twitter as an authentication mechanism, what do you all think about doing away with our registration altogether and forcing people to use Facebook?
I feel that will significantly reduce the amount of spam since most spammers will not create Facebook accounts. You can see an example this when TechCrunch moved their comments to require Facebook authentication. They wrote the Pros and Cons of this move here: http://techcrunch.com/2011/03/06/techcrunch-facebook-comments/
What do you all think? All of your existing accounts will be valid! This will only affect new accounts.
