I think banning was a bit of a knee-jerk reaction. take it easy
Its a rule. He broke it. He knew the rules, its not like they are hidden. Anything obsene, or p0rnographic will get you banned. If he was stupid enough to post something like that then its his fault.
I agree with Jubba. He knew the rules. This isn’t allowed here, and if someone breaks that rule, he will bear the consequences.
If one day I had a lapse and accidently posted something that contained p0rnography I would expect the same thing to happen to me, and the same thing would happen to you as well. There are some things that we tolerate and are willing to give a second chance. That isn’t one of them.

i didn’t say he accidentaly posted it. i just said he wasn’t thinking.
pinx - which is the problem - at 17 he is not legally allowed to view images like this.
kirupa.com owners could be open to legal action if they were seen to be allowing access to p0rn for minors - and as we all knwo there are many forum users who are well under 18.
So this action is not knee-jerk in my view - it is making sure the rules are observed and that the forum is preserved.

and kirupa.com DELETED the picture, and rightly so. they weren’t procuring to minors since they DELETED the picture.
i’m just saying that when users do something stupid like that, they should (in my opinion) be warned first.

What age do you got to be in UK to buy ****? Sure he made a “grave mistake” but it’s not like you weren’t able to take it down fast… this forum bans so many people…it just seems a shame.
actually we don’t ban that many people and we only ban them when they break a rule. Its just that, unlike larger forums, when we ban someone, everyone else knows about it.
breaking a rule will lead to a permanent ban! That’s a rule!
If we …hmh… they show mercy to one person and don’t ban him/her then all of the rule-breakers are gonna ask for mercy and that’s just not right! Rules are for obeying them not for breaking them!
