SOUND - differences between source and Flash-sound

there is a sound effect on flashkit called ting-public-D35 or sumit like that neway…
when i include it into a flash document, flash manipulates it.
the source is noticeably different from what flash plays - im not very good at musical stuff but it sounds a bit like the quality is reduced, the levels are changed (specially towards the end) and it seems to be slower as well…
i tried making a whole new document with nothing but a simple elipse masqurading as a button to initiate the sound with the appropriate code to initialise it on the first and only frame…
same result…

why is that?

how can i get it to stop doing it and play it like Windows Media Player does?

If it’s an mp3, go into the library, and uncheck mp3 quality, and set the kbps to 160, and to best quality.

nope its a wav…
but regardless, i just checked out some of the options there (which i dint think of checking before :S) and none of it makes a difference! :frowning:

EDIT:- it IS slowing the sound down… from 0.75 yo 1.1 s
and i tried lengthening with silence and it took it from 1.1 to bout 1.9!!! ARRGG!!

just an idea, but maybe convert it to mp3 and see if that helps?
