Hello everyone-
I guess this is a rather broad subject- but I was wondering what some of you (preferrably those who work with sound effects and music alot) have come to chose as their editing / retouching program of choice.
I have had some experience with “oldschool” tracker programs for sequencing / arranging… but what does the “modern age sound guru” use to create music tracks?
I’m using Cool Edit Pro 2.0 for sound editing (when it was still by Syntrillium and not yet bought by Adobe to become [part of] Adobe Audition)… it also allows arranging of sound bits on a timeline- with different tracks / layers and all… but that is really just “patching together” of segments, not so much actual notation / playing a certain instrument by tone heights.
What’s today’s (affordable) reference? Any and all input is welcome
Thanks!
