Splash page critique

I am looking for critique on the

splash page to intro.

There are no buttons hooked up yet…Looking for feedback mainly on color scheme, lettering to see if I am heading in the right direction.
I want a page with clean looks, nothing to fancy, it’s my first attempt and I am horrible at actionscript.

Question: How can I make my page (with the picture and stats) to be without windows, toolbars and address bars? I am using dreamweaver and flash mx. Any help would be appreciated.

PS: Blurry to sharp idea is from Actionscipt.org by Pat Mineault to give credit….click here for tut.

Um…it’s gray and yellow. Doesn’t really look that good and doesn’t match too well.

The letting…is also not too good.

And it’s just text :-/. Sorry, try something out with more graphics and more effort :P.

Bleh…At least have a nice looking font on there.

What splash page? lol

Exactly lol. Thats been going through my head after I made a post.

Yeah it seems a little too simple right now. I’ve really against pop-up windows but that’s just IMHO.

i’d make the enter button stand out a bit more and change the font.

The thing with your splash page D10073 is that nothing stands out for people to actually see you do have a unque website. The indent of the text to the left is ok but the text is just yellow and all the same size. You need to make the name of your site whether it maybe your name bigger in size and preferbably a different font style and color. Separate website requirements lower than the websit’s name and also use a different color. You also do not need to make yur splash a swf because you want people to be more excited when they enter.

Just have a look at splash pages overall from your inspirational sites and go from there.

cheers.

Thank you for the opinions, I will be updating it as time passes.
