i am trying to create the effect of static. i have no found the turorial for it yet. any help will be appriciated.
Here’s a good tutorial for tv static that I used on my old layout.
Yeah, you will definitely need an art program or something to do the effect like the tutorial states.
Or you can draw it dot by dot in Flash if you would like…lol.
But to do that in actionscript would blow up someones computer for sure.
just fyi, the
Noise -> Add Noise…
filter in photoshop is what is used to create a static effect. With a plain white image (of any size you chose) run that filter and you will be able to control the ‘power’ of the type of static you would want to use, beit a typical harsh mess of static or a softer grey.
ok,
now i want to add a picture to it. almost like a fade in fade out slide show. i want to have atleast 4 pictures in it.
thanks for your help:beam:
haha that’s the exact same thing I had on my old website. =)
-
Start off by placing your static animation inside a movieclip of it’s own.
-
Place that static movieclip on a layer on your main timeline.
-
Now make another new layer below the layer containing the static movieclip, this layer will be where you place your 4 images. Make sure your images are set apart from each other for example frames 1 -20 would be image 1 then 21 - 30 would be image 2 and so on. Also make sure that the static movieclip covers your images as well so they remain hidden.
-
Now all you have to do is alpha tween the static movieclip from 100 to 0 and 0 back to 100 and repeat that process and it will look like your images are fading in and out of the static.
