Stopping a movie

i know this is probably a dumb question but in scene 1 of my swf i have a matrix effect with letters coming down throughout the scene. However when i go to scene two, the letters are still coming down…how do i make that stop??? thanks

i used a tutorial from flashkit.com.

anyone have any clue what i am talking about?

That is what i used. Again, my problem is that the effect is in Scene 1, and when i go to Scene 2 it keeps going!! I need it to stop once i am finished with Scene 1.
