Hello…I do so hope you can help me. I’ve been trying to figure out how to do this for months now, and I’m in a class for Flash but unfortunately my teacher is pretty clueless (it’s community college, what do you expect) and has no idea how to help me. I’ve been taking Japanese classes for several semesters, but I have a hard time remembering the Kanji writing system, so I wanted to make a flash card study guide in Flash. Ideally I would plot each Kanji in there as three different cards, one being the Kanji character itself, the other being its meaning/pronounciation in Japanese, and the third being its meaning in English. I guess I could figure out how to do that much by myself, using instances and buttons on each card linking to either of the other two linked cards. My problem is figuring out how to get a random instance to come up so that when I ‘play’ the program, a card comes up, I study the two different meanings of it, then hit the ‘random’ button and it comes up with a new card for me to study.
If I could manage to get that, that would be peachy…ultimately I’d like to be able to organize it by chapter, but just getting what I’ve already detailed done would be amazing, heh. I’ve looked all over the net for something to help me, but I’m not really sure what to use as my search terms. “Flash cards” and “study cards” don’t really have anything.
Anyway, if any of you could help me with that, I’d be ever so grateful! I have CS4 Professional and I haven’t started the project yet, so I can use AS 2 or 3, whichever you think might be better. Thanks in advance!
