I managed to snag one of the Core 2 Duo E6600s that xPCgear.com had. They sold out the same day that they got them in, but luckily I helped contribute to that. According to my tracking number, it just flew from the Bay Area, and is in in L.A. right now, and should show up at my house tomorrow. 
I’ll let you know how it goes.
Note: I think that my graphics card, a slightly older MSI nVidia 6800 with 256MB of vRam will be my bottleneck for gaming performance. Maybe I’ll upgrade that in a week or two, after I find out whether or not I’m getting the kind of performance that I want.
I’m excited.
