Testing Bandwidth in FLASH MX

Hello, is there a toggle to change the bandwidth tested when you do the CTRL-ENTER double time to check your preloader?

BTW, I see that doing CTRL-ENTER twice sometimes does not respond right away and I’ll have to attempt a few times sometimes. Is that a bug or am I just doing it too fast?

Thanks again.

CTRL + ENTER once starts the preview…

CTRL + ENTER a second time stops the preview…

CTRL + ENTER a third time starts it again… etc.

To view your preloader in a ‘virtual download’ method -

enter preview mode first, (ctrl+enter once) -

then go to the view menu near the top of the screen, there will find options for “download settings” where you can specify which kind of bandwidth you wish to use (14.4k modem thru T1 - or custom), pick one…

hitting ctrl+enter again should preview it in whatever bandwidth download setting you chose…

also, ctrl+B shows the bandwidth profiler, pretty handy for examining how your flash movie is in terms of size per frame.

Hope this helps

AWESOME AXIS! Thanks in a major way.

How can you use that to your advantage, and if there is a “problem” , what can you do to fix it?
