Exciting, suspenseful; highly recommended if it’s still playing in theaters where you live. These soldiers in Iraq who specialize in disarming bombs are intimidated and frustrated by the seemingly careless, unpredictable attitude of a new addition to their team. Turns out, new dude’s expert bomb-dismantling skills are indispensable to their survival in spite of his lax adherence to safety protocol. New dude annoys his colleagues by mentoring local children to teach them the bear necessities of soccer, and when everyone’s happily inebriated he tries to rape the black guy (an awkward end to the festivities indeed), but eventually they all learn to cooperate and get along. But you don’t have to take my word for it; run, don’t walk, because this movie was anything but a “bomb”.
