The mighty Hulk. Vector!

I get how useful they are, I just can’t make them;’(

same here, ahh, i donno, i will still with freehand!

Cute :thumb:

:pope:

there’s nothing wrong with freehand anyway, because it’s still vector, it’s just that a lot of people believe Illy is the best…

and i really like the pic too :), you’ve chosen a good angle to work from

The pen is alright when you get the hang of it. I’ve found that Illustrator is better for drawing some styles because of the range of brushes you have. But I still like drawing in Flash for some things.

Nice work, very clean and sharp.

I believe the difference between Illustrator and Freehand to be a matter of personal discretion. I own both applications but while I use Illustrator for **** near everything (Mock-ups, design elements, flashgraphics, illustrations) I hardly ever open Freehand. It’s probably just a matter of what you get used to.

I hate drawing in flash. I can never get things the way I want them (Unless what I want is a rectangle.) and it’s pen tools confuse me. I’m very happy about using the Illustrator/Flash Combo though.

The strange thing is that when I draw in Illustrator I use the Pen tool with the tapered brushes, which is great. But when I draw in Flash, I never use the Pen, but stick with the Line tool instead, and curve them. I have no idea why this should be.

But you can get some pretty good effects with Flash, especially if you fill in then delete all the lines. This is one that I did with it a while ago. It’s an oldie, but still turned out OK.

I tried recreating that with Illustrator, but failed abysmally. So if anyone else wants to try, then go for it.

That’s a niiiiice pice Kit.
I might have a go at it in AI a bit later. Just to try.

Please do.

I couldn’t get it to look as nice with llustrator, Flash produced a much better effect. But I’d like to see if you can manage it - I freely confess I’m pretty poor with Illustrator.

I really like the style of your drawing though, as someone pointed out, it’s very Dexter’s Lab. I like it, it works well with the character.
