Oh man!!!
Someone found all the dhtml stuff and way over board. That’s some scary crap right there.
http://www.planetownage.net He truly thinks his site looks wonderful.
whats wrong with that site?
That’s what happens when someone figures out how to do DHTML things and thinks it’ll be cool enough to pass as a good website

hehe ;p
Well, I have a web site that tops all the sites mentioned so far. Brace yourself for the world of Webtek - the 1337 (elite) designers of the digital world - http://www.geocities.com/webtekrocks/
The horrible color combination, the music (A-Team!!), the links, the broken images, the picture of the cool guy, the Duke Nukem 3D dancer - it’s a site reviewer’s dream come true.
Happy surfing =)
EDIT: THey have bandwidth problems - so if the site doesn’t work now, it’ll work a few minutes later.
Cheers!
Kirupa :rd:
check it out: my friends site is supposed to be awesome because he made it with frames and html… lol
LOOK OUT!

Link doesn’t work. . . . .even when pasted!
hm, don’t make fun of them. They just want a page. Nothing more. They are not into webdesign and that stuff…

Hey people have to start somewhere, I remember my first website was made on AOL and boy was it horrible, I copied and pasted every javascript code I could get my hands on.
I had scrolling marquees, mouse trailers, images floating around, binking text…etc.
So looking at these pages only reminds me of my past, boy was it funny. :beam:
I’m trying to remember the URL to my very first site, if it comes to mind, I’ll plop it on down in here. I think it was okay for my first, though.
Edwin, that site made me cry. It <i>was</i> awful.
After typing in half a dozen combinations of letters (why in gods name are geocities urls case sensitive?) I figured it out.
Click around, it’s not THAT bad, and personally, I think my book pages were pretty darn good.
Edit:
Oh my god, I forgot I’d ever laid eyes on Harry Potter.
Lmfao.
actually I just found my first site ever:
www.angelfire.com/geek/passport
laugh all you want, I thought it was pretty decent for my first site… I still do! :bad:
smirks I see you were a fan of flamingtext.com too, once, eh?
I had my days.
yeah, they helped because i didn’t have any image editors like I do now…
I thought that site was the coolest thing in the world before I had stuff like Photoshop and Flash. Before I had any knowledge of image editing beyong paint.
I think the most complex thing I knew back in the day was “Dude, I know how to turn a bitmap into a jpeg like snaps that.”
yeah pretty much the same here. I knew every HTML tag too… then I found Flash and from there I learned PHP and it just gets better and better…
I didn’t really advance yet, laughs
I plan to learn AS, though. That’s my goal, currently.
Maybe some XML, cause I’ve worked with that before, minimally. (I made me own KaZaA skin, yessir.)
