Yes, you’re right, it’s spam. I don’t know know what I was thinking. Must have been staring at my computer monitor for too long today.

The difference is that no one is actually endorsing your product, you’re just getting (essentially) free advertising and no one would know the wiser. Your logic is very flawed.

I’m not quite sure why, maybe it’s a combination of a couple of glasses of Jameson or the fact that I’m excruciatingly tired or the whole thread atmosphere … but that remark made me laugh out so loud my wife came around asking what’s so funny.

Personally, I don’t think he should have been scolded like he was by several people, I mean give the guy a break, he is being sincere, and polite in his requests. It benefits Kirupa members anyways. Why is the thread still up anyways if this is against the rules?
