Would you think displaying time on your page is tacky? I think its a great addition to the page assuming its done well, whats your thoughts
What operating system doesn’t already have that displayed?
What does “done well” mean? I’m sure it could make for an aesthetic element, but overall, I don’t see it being very useful.
It’s almost always tacky. The only time I’ve ever seen it being used was for an aviation site or in the clock tower of an image of london (but it was blended in very well).
but it’s redundant.
it’s ike those footers saying ‘hello (ip number) you are using WinXP and FF3’

I always thought that displaying the time on a website is a stupid thing to do. Firstly, there’s a clock on everyone’s screen anyway! Secondly, it makes visitors think of other things for example “It’s that time already?! I’ve got to stop looking at these websites, and finish that assignment!”
If you ask me, people put clocks on their sites as a filler if they can’t think of anything else to add.
Hmm
Ok i get that, maybe a clock isn’t that good of an idea.
