I was thinking about the industry as a whole and I was curious. Do we upgrade hardware regurally because the industry moves so fast or do you think we’re being conned by the industry to buy new stuff after only 2 years sometimes.
think if it like this. If you’d bought a car and needed a new one after 2 years you’d be p**sed. Even say a hi-fi. Spend £500 on a hi-fi I would expect at least 4 years. Why don’t we think of pc’s the same way?
So, do you think you upgrade when absolutely necessary or do you think perhaps you are being brainwashed by the industry to buy hardware when you don’t really need to?
