This is a little hard to explain but I guess everybody would understand once I explain my situation. I have made a movie with lots of buttons, eg. 35 buttons, and each of the button I’ve applied a similar animation to it, eg. on roll over it turns red and on roll out it turns blue. But every button differs slightly because of the title I put on them, eg. “button1”, “button2” … “button12”.
Now the problem is simple, I’ve made like 12 buttons today and suddenly realized that it was way tooo tideous to continue making the rest of the 35 buttons!
So I thought of a shortcut, which is to just copy and paste the buttons, then alter the title later. I’ve decided to copy (ctrl-C) “button12” and make it a duplicate for “button13”. The buttons are an exact replica of each other (duh), but when I tried to alter the title from “button12” —> “button13”, even the original copy changes.
Why??
