I saw one of those lists that appear to be popular on tv all of a sudden. This one was “The 50 Greatest Comedies of all time” and of course I didn’t agree with a lot of what they had. I think a lot of this is down to your own choice.
So here’s my top 5 comedies of all time
- Airplane - If you don’t like one joke, don’t worry they’ll be another along in a second. Jokes by the second, very very funny movie.
Dr Rumack: Captain, how soon can you land?
Captain Oveur: I can’t tell.
Dr Rumack: You can tell me. I’m a doctor.
Captain Oveur: No. I mean I’m just not sure.
Dr Rumack: Well, can’t you take a guess?
Captain Oveur: Well, not for another two hours.
Dr Rumack: You can’t take a guess for another two hours?
- Groundhog Day
- The man with 2 brains
- The 40 Year Old Virgin
- Hot Shots Part Deux
Just missing out on this list would be Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Dodgeball and I haven’t seen Knocked Up yet but I’m hoping it’s gonna be as good as the hype.
