i was just wondering if there is a real tutorial out there that makes the background flash transperant. if anybody knows a link id really appreciate it, thanks
Using the real search field for kirupa.com I found this…
http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/transparency.htm
[edit]if the viewer has the MOST RECENT plugin for flash then they will be able to view the transparency in most browsers on Mac and Windows computers otherwise it will only work in IE for Windows[/edit]
thanks man
I can’t really tell what the difference is between the transparencies. :-\ Is there a site with an example??
I’m having trouble with transparancies.
I’m trying to add a gif with transparancy on my movie, but you can see wherre the tranparancy is, it’s slightly paler than the background. No idea where I’m going wrong!
blah-de-blah, go to the kirupa tutorial you can see the transparency, the original movie is a green background and the transparent movie is in a table cell with an orage background.
Another easy way to tell if a flash movie is set to be transparent is that it become selectable, so you can highlight the movie like you would an image on an HTML page.
Bod: It might be your monitor color settings. Sometimes the colors in Flash get weird when your monitor is set to 16 bit color or below. 24 or 32 usually work fine though. If that isn’t it, then I don’t know what is, i’ve never experienced this issue.
Thanks very much. I am aware that someone has been messing around with my monitor settings recently! I’ll look into fixing it now.
Thanks again
I saw something about the subject, on http://phong.com…made in Photoshop…
