Trust seems to come from follow-through more than transparency

i keep noticing that people don’t really trust a product team because they shared more context. they trust it when the decisions feel consistent over time and the team actually does what they said they’d do.

has anyone else seen that? a very open roadmap can still feel flimsy if the product keeps drifting every month.

“Open roadmap” can actually backfire when it reads like improvisation — people don’t remember the context dump, they remember whether you hit the same few promises repeatedly.
