anyone who can help me with this, it would be greatly appreciated!!
OK, i have designed a completely flash based site. within which there is a movieclip called ‘nav’ that contains 6 buttons. when previewing the site the butons work as you would expect i.e. the cursor on rolllover changes to the hand and there is no ‘twitching’.
However, when i publish the site, upload it and then view it in the browser, the buttons , very annoyingly, keep ‘twitching’ between the arrow and the hand??? I’ve tried using 2 layers within the button states i.e. in the 1 layer i have the text for the buttons in all 4 states and in the other layer someone suggested i use a shape in all four states but it still doesn’t work. This isn’t the only thing i’ve tried but nothing seems to solve the problem??
Can anyone solve this for me?? the same thing is also happening with links i have within the body of a scroll pane???
Hmmm, I can’t be sure without seeing the file, but it sounds like you need to define the Hit state of the buttons. Make sure that this frame on your button symbol has a shape in it that completely covers your button - don’t worry, it won’t show anywhere, it’s just to define the clickable area.
If you’ve already done that, then post the .fla and we can have a look.
I think i’ve tried this, but let me confirm what u mean and i’ll try it again:
in the ‘up’ state have a keyframe with the text for the button.?
in the ‘over’ state, repeat up state?
in the ‘down’ state’ repeat again?
in the hit state have a keyframe with just a shape covering the size of the text field?
im assuming i only need the one layer and that the text is that of ‘static’ and not ‘dynamic’ ?
